Monday 25th September – bike **** – Around Felixstowe including a
picnic at Trimley churches – Sunny and warm:)
The summer continues into late September with another sunny and warm day
here in Felixstowe, after yesterdays bumpy windsurf when I twisted my knee
I did not even check the wind today deciding to have today off especially
as there is some wind coming:) Still managed to do my exercises slowly in
the back garden with Mag also out pottering, she is non-stop! Being such a
nice day I packed a picnic and we headed out on our bikes quite late around
1.30, heading past the park at The Grove to Gulpher Road turning left to
Candlet where onions are being lifted, enough t make your eyes water! Then
out onto Trimley High Street turning right to the pair of churches where we
sit on the bench in the graveyard and enjoy the picnic in the warm sunshine
watching the dragon flys and butterflys:) Well rested we cross over to Gun
Lane that leads to the large green footbridge where we get a wave from a
passing container train driver:) Across the fields to our favourite path
through the trees and down to the back of Felixstowe docks where Mag head
for by Morrisions while I continue down to Felixstowe prom at the Manor end
and have a nice cycle past the pier in ideal beach weather and up Bent Hill
and home, top day:)
